Code Apparel Privacy Policy

Last Revised April 21, 2008

I am 100% serious when I tell you that we, the good people at Code Creations, recognize that you value your privacy. I do, too, and that is why I whipped together this Privacy Policy that applies to all of the products, services, and websites offered by Code Creations and/or its parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies.

There’s a lot to understand, but most of it is just common sense. For example, you should know that any comment or other content you post or send to the Website becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy. Remember, any information you post in public areas of this website may be used by others to contact you.

As you know by now, I’ve got all sorts of interests and I like to share them with you and all my other new friends. That is why I sometimes have links to other web sites on Code Creations.com. But remember that those sites are owned and operated by others, and they have their own privacy policies.

By the way, we don’t require that you register in order to view all the cool products and check out a lot of the great features and forums and adventures and all that. However, registration is required if you plan to use certain interactive features such as posting comments, forums, and in order to submit ideas and participate in all the Design Challenges I created.

Now please don’t flip out or anything, but Code Creations does collect some personal information when you register with Code Creations.com, when you visit the website, when you make a purchase, or any time you provide information to Code Creations about yourself. Also, Code Creations may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

All right you need an example. That’s fair. Let me explain. When you register, we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, and other personally-identifying information. When you register with Code Creations.com and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to me.

As far as placing orders, etc. you’ll be interested and happy to now that we employ 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology that safely encrypts all of your private information when placing an order, and guarantees it is sent securely into our systems to be processed.

Code Creations uses cookies (alphanumeric identifiers that enable our system to recognize your browser) to record identifying information that we need in order for you to be able to access our website, and for this to be a wonderful and effective and efficient and professional experience for all.

Code Creations uses information to customize the advertising and content you see, fill your orders, improve how we do things here, contact you, conduct research, and that sort of thing.

VERY IMPORTANT. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Code Creations does not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information online from children under the age of 13. We’re really serious about this. If you are under the age of 13, you are not permitted to submit any personal information to Code Apparel.

In fact, if we learn that information of persons less than 13 years of age has been collected on Code Creations without verified parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.

You’ll be very happy to know that Code Creations does not rent, sell, or share your information with anyone else except to provide products or services you’ve requested from us.

That being said, I am sure you understand that every once and awhile I may share some generic information to those who work with or on behalf of Code Creations in order to help us here to communicate with you about special offers. However, they will not have any independent right to share this information with anyone.

In addition to everything else I do, I’m also very interested in marketing and so I may provide a limited amount of non-personal info to those who can help me get a grasp on how to make this website more efficient for everyone.

Though I exercise all due caution to preserve your privacy, I may need to disclose personal information when required by law if such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our website. This includes, but is not limited to, any defense to any claim in which Code Creations.com is a plaintiff or defendant, to assist in any investigations by law enforcement agencies, or violations of any of our policies.

I love this company and I hope to be the hostess forever, but there is always a chance Code Creations could merge or partner in some way with another company and make this site even better for everyone. If that happens, then Code Creations may transmit information to the other company. But don’t sweat it. I mean, in the event this happens, someone around here will notify existing users of the acquisition or merger.

The chance of this happening is probably as far away as the moon, but while we at Code Creations will do everything we can to protect your privacy, we simply can not and will not be held responsible for parties who attempt to illegally access our web site and intercept or access transmissions or private communications.

By the way, in the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, we may not be able to control how your personal information will be treated, transferred, or used.

Keep in mind that personal information and/or comments that you voluntarily disclose on the website (you know, like when you make comments or participate in the forum, etc.) becomes publicly available. Keep in mind that if and when you do this, your account name is displayed to others.

Code Creations may set and access cookies on your computer. But if this freaks you out at all, you may disable them within your browser. Remember, however, that portions of the website require that your cookies be enabled.

If and when we put together Design Challenges with Sponsors, their links or ads may or may not set and access cookies on your computer. If so, use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies.

Kindly remember one thing that is very important. Even though we use all sorts of high-tech, super technical safeguards to protect your privacy and secure our website, we can not absolutely guarantee security. As a result, any information you transmit through Code Creations.com is done at your own risk.

Oh, and if it makes you feel better, you can deactivate your Code Creations.com account at any time by canceling your account on the account profile page. Just remember that all your account information will be lost.

All though this website can be viewed around the world, this site is governed by a heck of a lot of U.S. laws and even a bunch of international laws, too.

Remember, Code Creations.com and its affiliates maintain professional standards and have a high quality of respect for our members, friends, customers, partners, sponsors, guest and affiliates.

If you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, please send me an e-mail.

Wear different!
